We know by now the importance of a balanced diet and regular exercise in our routine. However, have you ever looked into the health benefits of aromatherapy? 💫
This collaboration with #lifestyletoniq could not have come at a more perfect time. 2021 is the year where I have been solely focused on maximising optimal health and looking at ways I can improve my overall well-being. Essential oils have been at the very forefront of my mind; I’ve been learning how to maximise their uses and the endless benefits they can have on your skin, sleep quality, health and mood.
At lifestyle toniq, they believe in improving our health and well-being by introducing natural based products into our daily routines, such as their CPD supplements or infused skincare range.
I was very kindly given their essential oil and CBD package to try out and review, based on my thoughts and findings on the products.

The packaging is SO beautiful and something I’ll definitely be reusing afterwards. The minute you open the lid, you are hit with a delicious smell of combined infusions from peppermint and tea tree oil, overpowering the room.
You literally feel like you’ve entered a luxurious spa somewhere!
They have included in their box six slides explaining what each of the oils offer in terms of their benefits and how to use them accordingly. It’s such a vital tool to really help educate yourself on essential oils and to see how you can incorporate them into your lifestyle.
I particularly love the lavender and tea tree oil which I have been using religiously in my day to day routine.
Tea tree is fantastic for many things but it particularly works well for my skin. It contains anti inflammatory and antimicrobial properties which can help calm acne-prone skin. It can help to reduce any redness, swelling or inflammation in the skin for when you get those sore breakouts.
Lavender oil and sleep quite literally go hand in hand. It’s been proven that lavender increases slow-wave sleep, instrumental for slowing ones heartbeat and relaxing muscles. Lavender oil mainly contains two chemicals: Linalyl Acetate and Linalool which are both easily absorbed into the bloodstream.
I pop a few drops of the lavender oil onto my pillow before I go to sleep and though it could be more psychological, I’m guaranteed a good nights sleep every time.
The CBD range I was particularly looking forward to as it was something I’d never used before but heard countless good things about it.
